Proclaiming Jesus Christ and the Gospel of God's Grace
"For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory."
Since 2007, our grace ministry and Grace Life Church have been dedicated to proclaiming Jesus Christ and the gospel of God's grace. Even though the wonderful gospel of grace is clearly found in the Bible, it is difficult to find in most churches today. God has given us a strong desire and passion to proclaim it boldly in our community and beyond!
We want to help people experience, rejoice, and rest in the grace life! This is the eternal and abundant life God gives us in His Son, Jesus Christ. It's a life of freedom and joy that all believers can experience in Christ.
We focus on what God is doing today in the age of grace - forming the church, the Body of Christ. The Bible makes it clear that God's program for the church today is separate and distinct from His program for Israel found in the Old Testament. The failure to understand this distinction has plagued the church ever since it began nearly 2000 years ago! The resulting tragedy is that countless believers through the centuries have put themselves in bondage by trying to live their Christian lives by mixing law and grace.
The Bible makes it clear that mixing law and grace will never work because God has not designed it to work (Rom. 11:6)! Living under a law system or other performance-based systems only produce confusion, frustration, and a joyless Christian life. Unfortunately, you've probably experienced this for yourself!
Fortunately, God has a far better way for you and I to live! God wants believers today to live under His grace (Rom. 6:14)! That's God's program for believers today!
At Grace Life Church we want to help you understand and appreciate from God's Word what He is doing today as you grow in your knowledge of Him (2 Peter 1:3). We want to help you rest in the great and empowering truth that Christ lives in you and wants to live His life through you through the presence and power of the Holy Spirit. We certainly don't deserve these incredible blessings. Only because of God's great love and grace have we been so completely and richly blessed (Eph.1:3). We thank you God for your amazing grace to all those who believe!
God's grace frees believers from the bondage and frustration of trying to live their Christian lives the wrong way. Grace liberates us from the burdensome demands of the Mosaic Law which God gave to Israel. Grace frees us from the demands and requirements of other rule systems, traditions, and performance systems that men have devised in order to gain God's forgiveness, please Him, be accepted by Him, receive blessings, and experience spiritual growth.
Unfortunately, this is the program you will find in many churches today. Living your Christian life that way puts you under the tyranny of religion! It leads to a superficial Christian life and sucks the joy right out of it. God wants you to be free from that "yoke of slavery" because His Son has set you free (Gal. 5:1)!
God wants you to find rest and peace in His Son (Matt:11:28-30). He wants you live under the power and protection of His marvelous grace. Living your Christian life this way puts you on the right path to experience a warm and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It frees you to allow Christ to effectively live His life in you and through you (Gal. 2:20). This is fundamental to your spiritual growth as you grow in your knowledge and appreciation of all that God has freely given to you in His Son (Eph. 1:3).
As you rest in Christ living in you and through you, God transforms you to be more and more like His Son. This is spiritual growth and discipleship accomplished God's way - which is, of course, the best way! This is God's way to produce in us the good works that have eternal value (1 Cor. 3:11-14; Eph. 2:10).
Reject religion! It can look spiritual, but makes a lot of promises it can never keep. It'll only frustrate you and confuse you. Furthermore, religion often empowers people to lead you to do things (in order to be a "good Christian") that have more to do with pleasing selfish desires and goals than helping you learn to live a life led by the Spirit. Jesus hated religion! The Apostle Paul continually fought against it throughout his ministry!
God wants us to grow in our knowledge of Him (Eph. 1:17). He wants us to keep our focus on Jesus Christ and allow Him to live His life through us (Phil. 1:21; Gal. 2:20). This is the spiritual journey God wants for you. This is the grace life! This is the victorious Christian life and life at its very best!
This is what we proclaim and teach at Grace Life Church!
We don't have a lot of programs or social events. We recognize that our church won't be for everyone. However, we definitely don't apologize for that! We don't believe that busyness leads to godliness. In fact, busy churches often hinder real spiritual growth of believers because the focus is on being active and doing all the things that need to be done on a regular basis. There's always things that need to be done! Unfortunately, this can often lead to a focus that's more and more on self, not on Christ and what He's doing.
Busyness is often the very tool the evil one uses to distract us from Christ! Remember the story about the sisters Mary and Martha with Jesus (Luke 10:38-42)? Martha's busyness and concern for getting things done kept her from what she needed most - time with Jesus!
Our grace ministry emphasizes that the Bible teaches us that God continues to work in believers (Phil. 1:6) to grow us spiritually and produce godliness and good works that are the fruit of righteousness (Phil. 1:11). God's incredible grace teaches us how to live godly lives (Titus 2:11-13)!
If you're looking for a small church that is serious about helping you grow in your personal relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ through a proper understanding of God's Word to you, then we're the church for you!
If you're looking for a fellowship where living the grace life is the issue - not living under the Law of Moses or following man-made programs, systems, concepts, and traditions that often leave many believers feeling confused, empty, and burned out, then we're the church for you!
Have you had it with "playing church" - doing things because you've been pressured to do them or because everyone else is doing them? Are you just going through the motions as you find yourself stuck on the religious treadmill? Would you rather experience a victorious Christian life that is motivated by God's indescribable love for us (2 Cor. 5:14) and is directed and empowered by His amazing grace? If so, please seriously consider spending time with us.
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves,
it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."
